The school board from this election will set the tone and direction of this new school district for years to come. We need board members who can step up in this decisive moment to meet these needs.

COLLABORATION

We will need to collaborate with ASD and our new sister districts to ensure that  we have three strong districts. The new Aspen Peaks Board will need to collaborate and have relationships with other community leaders, city leaders, the legislature, etc. to keep friendly, open channels and work for the best outcomes for our students and teachers.

COMMUNICATION

2-way communication is vital: board members should listen to the needs of all parties, and then be transparent with their decisions and processes. I have lots of experience synthesizing feedback from multiple parties and always seek to communicate openly and honestly.

CARE

We need to take care of ALL of our students and the people involved in making that a reality. In our SCCs, we always looked at the data to define our greatest needs within our schools. Having a heart for the whole community, and eyes to see the needs of both students and faculty is at the center of everything!

About Me

After graduating from BYU, I taught 3rd grade before starting a family and putting roots down in Lehi. We have now been here for 20 years and have four children who have attended Alpine School District since entering Kindergarten. When not busy, I love dark chocolate and the beach and going on bike rides with my family!

Building Aspen Peaks

In November 2024 communities in Northern Utah County determined that Alpine School District (ASD) should split into three separate districts. Aspen Peaks School District will include the municipalities of Alpine, American Fork, Cedar Hills, Highland, and Lehi and the Utah County portion of Draper.

Alpine School District will officially split in 2027. It will be vital that APSD’s new board include people who have knowledge and experience with how a school district runs and have strong collaborative skills when working with Alpine and the other new districts toward their common goal of creating three strong districts.
